Elizabeth Harrington


Elizabeth Harrington is a partner at Public Opinion Strategies (POS), one of the nation’s largest political and public affairs research firms. She has been conducting market research for over 25 years with the major focus of her work being public affairs and public policy research. Elizabeth has managed over 30 million dollars of both qualitative and quantitative research projects in her tenure at POS.

Her research expertise extends to the following industries and sectors: health care and public health, energy, utilities, and infrastructure, financial, technology, education, and foreign policy. Much of the focus of her research over the years has been on public awareness and communications campaigns, message and advertising testing, corporate image and branding, and public policy campaigns.

Elizabeth has extensive experience in the health care sector conducting research on topics such as patient education and decision-making, public health and disease, access to health care services, health equity, health care reform and health care policy changes, issues affecting hospitals and physicians, health care quality issues, prescription drugs, branding campaigns, media tracking, and message and advertising testing.

Elizabeth has helped build successful branding, public awareness, public policy and communications campaigns for organizations such as the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), the American Medical Association (AMA), the deBeaumont Foundation, Dominion Energy, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and the United Nations Foundation.

Elizabeth is a RIVA trained focus group moderator, completing courses in both the fundamentals and advanced moderating. She has moderated over 400 focus groups specifically focused on testing messages and evaluating media for advertising, public policy, branding and corporate communications.

Prior to joining Public Opinion Strategies, Elizabeth worked as a Market Research Director for a publishing company in Philadelphia, PA. She received a B.A. in Government from Skidmore College and currently resides and works in Philadelphia, PA.
