According to this month’s NBC News poll conducted from May 5th-7th, a strong majority of Americans agree with the President and oppose releasing the death photo of Osama bin Laden. However, the political boon which may have followed the killing of the most wanted man in the world seems to have been stunted by record low approval of the President’s handling of the economy. The poll also finds Americans are deeply suspicious of Pakistani leaders and what they knew while the CIA seems to have won respect and favor from the public. But still, most Americans see the threat of terrorism as strong today as it has been in the past.
