JIM HOBART AND MICAH ROBERTS PROMOTED AT
PUBLIC OPINION STRATEGIES
Alexandria, VA – Public Opinion Strategies announced the promotions today of Jim Hobart and Micah Roberts to Vice President.
Jim Hobart is a research veteran who has overseen nearly seven hundred research projects in forty-one states. Last year, he directed the research for two new Republican members of Congress, as well as for the Republican Governor’s Association Independent Expenditure campaign in North Carolina; the only gubernatorial campaign in the country to change partisan control. In 2010, Jim served as project director on numerous winning campaigns including an open seat gubernatorial campaign and for three Republican Congressional candidates who knocked off incumbent Democrats.
In addition to his work on political campaigns, Jim has a significant amount of corporate and public affairs polling experience. He has directed the research on projects for numerous Fortune 100 clients including Bank of America, Wal-Mart, and Verizon.

Prior to joining Public Opinion Strategies, Jim worked as a voter outreach director for a congressional campaign in Georgia and as a freelance writer for Sports Illustrated on Campus. Jim and his wife Megan live in Washington, D.C.
Micah Roberts has worked in research for ten years. At Public Opinion Strategies his primary focus has been directing research for the The Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll as well as polling on economic trends for CNBC.
Over the past five years at Public Opinion Strategies Micah, has conducted research for national policy initiatives on behalf of the firm’s Fortune 500 clientele and the industry associations who represent them in Washington, DC. These clients include the National Association of REALTORS®, The American Beverage Association, the International Franchise Association, America’s Natural Gas Alliance, and the American Bankers Association, among others.
In addition to his public affairs work Micah has experience conducting political research, including two successful ballot initiatives striking down beverage taxes. He has also conducted extensive research in dozens of congressional and senatorial campaigns across the country.

While at the firm Micah has managed more than one hundred national research projects. Micah is a RIVA-trained focus group moderator and has conducted dozens of qualitative studies testing television programs, talent, and commercials (including some that have aired during the Super Bowl), and messaging on a wide range of issues.
Prior to joining Public Opinion Strategies, Micah built and analyzed online job analysis surveys for a psychometric firm in Florida. Micah lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and two sons.
