For nearly three decades, Public Opinion Strategies has been the most trusted polling firm for Republican candidates across the country and at all levels of government. While we represent Governors, Senators and members of the House of Representatives, we also pride ourselves on working with talented candidates for local and state offices as well as statewide ballot question contests. In each instance, polling is a critical element of campaign strategy that can influence fundraising, grassroots organizing, messaging, advertising and voter turnout.
Our Work: Public Opinion Strategies offers a range of solutions tailored to the needs of the client and the unique characteristics of the jurisdiction in which they are running. We poll in urban, suburban and rural locations, each with their own distinct demographics and hot button issues. In each case, our stratified sampling method closely mirrors the expected voter turnout in that jurisdiction – for both primary and general elections – so the client gains a clear assessment of voter sentiment. Gauging a candidate’s strength is only a small part of the solutions our firm offers. We also survey broader social and economic issues to determine voter priorities and implement “informed ballot” surveys, in which respondents learn key facts in a race before being asked their voting preferences to determine how messages influence voters.
Results: According to the trade publication Campaigns and Elections, Public Opinion Strategies has the best win-loss record of any polling firm either side of the aisle. Our partners have been named “Pollsters of the Year” numerous times by the American Association of Political Consultants. Glen Bolger and Neil Newhouse have both won this award three times — the only two three-time winners of this award. Lastly, we do not simply leave clients with stacks of polling data; we help clients decipher that data so their team gains actionable insights that help them define their path to victory.
